Will Scribbr give the same result as my university's Plagiarism Checker?

Scribbr uses advanced plagiarism detection technology similar to the software used by most universities and publishers, ensuring you receive the same or very similar results.

The only possible difference is that your university may compare your submission to a private database containing previously submitted student papers. Scribbr does not have access to these private databases (and neither do other plagiarism checkers).

Luckily, many papers, theses, and dissertations are also published in public databases that Scribbr does have access to.

Will I get a 100% match at my school if I use the Scribbr Plagiarism Checker?

You will not get a 100% Match after uploading your document to Scribbr’s Plagiarism Check.

We keep your documents entirely private and do not store your document in any database whatsoever. This means that when you submit your work for a plagiarism check, it is not added to any searchable database that schools or institutions can access.

Who can see the results of my Plagiarism Check?

You are the only one able to see the results of your Plagiarism Check. If you have a question or technical issue, our Support team can also get access. Rest assured that the following entities cannot see the results of your plagiarism check:

• Institutions or universities: Your plagiarism check results are private and not shared with your school or university.

• Supervisors or professors: Your supervisors or professors do not have access to your plagiarism check unless you choose to share the report with them.

• Other Plagiarism Checks: Your document is not stored in any database and remains private throughout the process.
